Scentium (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd ( formerly known as Flavor Inn Corporation Sdn Bhd ) is a food and beverage flavouring manufacturing company based in Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam, Malaysia. Scentium is a flavour division of the Iberchem Group in Spain. We develop flavours with superior sensory attributes, fitting to current market needs and complying with the strictest safety and quality standards.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Develop new clients and increase the sales of the company.
  • Addressing and resolving complaints, planning orders, samples and working in hand in developing sales with clients.
  • Collaborating with sales, logistics, R&D, Marketing to ensure that key clients’ needs are met.
  • Setting goals, forecast, and marketing tools for clients.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently and effectively in a multicultural and diverse environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel.

The selected person will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies in the assigned markets to achieve the established growth and sales targets.

In addition, he/she will identify business opportunities and develop strong relationships with existing and potential customers in the sector, analysing the competition to identify new trends and growth opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree Chemistry / Food Science / Food Technology or equivalent.
  • Proven sales and account management experience in chemical or related industries.
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in the Food Ingredients sector within the Malaysian market. Preference will be given to candidates with direct experience in selling flavors to the food industry.
  • Good planning skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficient in Mandarin would be an added advantage.
  • Possess good analytical troubleshooting & problem-solving skills.
  • Advance knowledge in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Job requires to travel. Must be willing and able to travel extensively Malaysia.

What You'll Do

  • As a Sales Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to sell our top-shelf, value-added food flavour portfolio.
  • You will be an intricate part of the commercial team, responsible for developing and delivering sales activities to food & beverage accounts across all categories.
  • You will be given ownership over your sales territory with the ability and expectation to manage and grow your business with existing clients and onboarding new ones
