A well-established corporate organisation is seeking an experienced and driven Legal Officer / Legal Counsel to join their team in Pretoria.
We are looking for a legal professional with strong experience in Corporate Law, Labour Law, HR Legal Compliance, Risk Management, and Commercial Contracts. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring legal compliance across the business while supporting executive management and

HR operations.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal guidance across all business operations
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and contracts
• Ensure compliance with South African corporate and labour legislation
• Support HR with disciplinary matters, grievances, retrenchments, and CCMA processes
• Draft and review employment contracts, company policies, and legal documentation
• Advise management on legal risk, compliance, and governance matters
• Ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, Employment Equity Act, POPIA, and related legislation
• Manage legal disputes, litigation support, and external legal stakeholders
• Conduct legal and compliance risk assessments
• Assist with corporate governance and internal compliance frameworks

✅ Minimum Requirements:
• LLB Degree or relevant Legal qualification
• Admitted Attorney advantageous
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Corporate & Labour Law
• Strong knowledge of South African employment legislation
• Experience within a corporate environment essential
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
