As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and operations. The Senior Accountant should be business savvy, have an innovative mindset and strong stakeholder management skills.
Your Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day accounting and operations, including timely month end closing and reporting
- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments
- Coordinate with the local accounting/payroll service provider for the day-to-day transactions and ensure all transactions are properly recorded & accounted for
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and cash flow management
- Support the year end audit processes and tax compliance matters
- Liaise with government authorities e.g. Custom, Inland Revenue etc.
- Manage the FA register including CIP
- Maintain the open PO status report on weekly basis
- Engage with stakeholders to follow up on supplier invoices and ensure timely processing
- Issue sales invoices, send to customers and monitor outstanding receivables
Qualities You Should Have
- Degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent
- Hands on and at least 5 years in full sets or relevant working experience
- Oracle Netsuite experience will be an added advantage
- Experience in Big Four will be an added advantage
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and ability to work independently as well as in a team
