Senior Data Engineer

We’re Hiring: Senior Data Engineer | 6-Month Contract | Malaysia
Join a high-impact data transformation program and play a key role in modernizing enterprise data platforms. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in data pipelines, cloud ecosystems and migration projects.

📌 Contract Details:
📍 Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
📄 Contract: 6 Months (Extendable)
🌏 Open to Malaysian candidates and professionals currently based
in Malaysia

🔎 What You’ll Do:
• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines (on-prem & cloud – Azure preferred)
• Drive migration from legacy frameworks to modern data platforms
• Develop robust ETL/ELT workflows with strong data quality controls
• Implement real-time and batch data processing using Kafka & Airflow
• Work with modern data lake technologies (Iceberg, ADLS, MinIO)
• Deploy and manage solutions using Docker & Kubernetes
• Ensure data governance, security, and compliance best practices

✅ What We’re Looking For:
• Strong hands-on experience in Python, Linux & Shell scripting
• Expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with Kafka, Airflow, ADLS, and S3-based storage
• Familiarity with Iceberg, Trino, DataHub, Ranger
• Good understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and Java-based processing
