Senior Maintenance Executive

⚙️ We're Hiring | Senior Maintenance Executive (Maintenance Team Lead) 🇲🇾

We're supporting Petzl, the French family-owned manufacturer of technical equipment for climbing, work at height and rescue, in strengthening its production site in Malaysia.

Petzl Manufacturing Malaysia has been producing harnesses, webbing and lanyards in Rawang since 2009, with over 200 employees. This role owns the performance of the equipment that makes it all happen - and a small team to go with it.

📍 Location: Rawang, Selangor

What you'll be doing:
✅ Lead daily maintenance operations and supervise a team of three technicians
✅ Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and automation faults on production equipment
✅ Plan and execute preventive maintenance to keep downtime down
✅ Manage spare-parts stock and critical parts availability
✅ Coordinate equipment updates, new installations and line layout changes through to production hand-over
✅ Apply lean principles to cut breakdowns, waste and intervention time
✅ Act as back-up to the Industrial & Maintenance Manager

We're looking for professionals with:
✔️ 5-10 years in mechanical, electrical and automation maintenance
✔️ Hands-on across mechanics, electrics and PLC-based automation
✔️ Experience on sewing-machine technology, or on transferable high-precision equipment such as semiconductor or E&E production machines
✔️ Track record in preventive and corrective maintenance, plus spare-parts management
✔️ Exposure to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
✔️ Experience supervising a small technical team
✔️ Working proficiency in English
